We're proud to support British craftsmanship where we can, which is why we've been collaborating with Abraham Moon, one of the last remaining vertical woollen mills in Great Britain, for over three decades.
Wool is a natural, biodegradable and renewable fibre – and Moon's wool is fully traceable. They use New Zealand wool sourced via the Wool Integrity™ Programme, which provides assurances around animal welfare and land management, traceability, wool quality, health and safety and wellbeing.
From moving towards a zero waste manufacturing model to cleaning the wool using only eco-friendly detergents, the mill has also been making extra efforts to reduce its impact on the environment.
Another one of our long-standing manufacturers, High Fashion, measures the impact of their production facilities through the Higg Facility Environmental Module(FEM). It helps to identify and prioritise opportunities for environmental improvements by measuring and assessing energy and water use, wastewater treatment, air emissions, waste and chemicals. Through these measures High Fashion are able to identify opportunities to continually reduce their footprint and offset their impact.
