1. LEATHER REIMAGINED

"For SS21, luxurious leather returns to reinterpret everyday classics into contemporary pieces worthy of investment. The Elise jacket epitomises the trend, showcasing a modern boxy cut and patch pockets inspired by utilitarian details. A wardrobe staple you won’t regret buying, it can be worn with smart skirts, over floral dresses or with jeans – it literally goes with anything."

Styling tip:"For a more relaxed look, push the sleeves up your arms or to add an insouciant edge, pop the collar."

2. NEW NAUTICAL

"It's a season awash with nautical themes (no doubt inspired by daydreams of travel) – and this inky ‘wave’ print dress offers a subtle nod. It's the ultimate solution to one-piece-dressing: refined enough for work days, chic for dinner dates and instantly casual for weekends when styled with a denim jacket and trainers. This could be your No.1 wardrobe staple for spring."

Styling tip: "Button-through detailing means it's easy to layer and the detachable belt is versatile too. Tie it in a neat bow at the front, knot it at your side or switch it entirely for a tan or navy leather one."

3. COLOUR / WASH

"Two trends to note here! Red continues to captivate – and in the SS21 designer collections, it really packed a punch. With the Rosario blouse, you can style it tone-on-tone for high impact or add a hint to off-duty looks. Which brings me to denim. This season, it takes on a distinctly 70s feel through dark washes – and the Macey skirt really channels the era, while looking utterly modern."

Styling tip: "Each piece can be dressed up or styled casually, and the Macey skirt is great for summer too – just add sandals, a vest top and sunnies."

4. WIDE STRIDES

"Whether it's being at home more or a desire for more comfort in our lives, looser fits and wide leg trousers are set to be a top trend for spring. If you're partial to a sleeker silhouette – this shape can be just as elegant. As demonstrated in the exquisitely cut Simone trousers which are high-waisted, close fitting at the hips, before falling into a wide leg that drapes beautifully."

Styling tip: "Wear your chosen tops tucked in to highlight the feminine high waist and side button detailing."

5. LADY OF LEISURE

"If you're wondering how you will transition your relaxed looks into something smarter when we emerge from lockdown, you're not alone. On the catwalks, many looks explored how to keep things low-key but nonetheless chic – a slouchy jumper with a pleated skirt, for example. Here, the sharply tailored Cecelia coat is the perfect counterbalance to a comfy jersey dress and practical ballerina pumps."

Styling tip: "Create a high-low look by pairing the coat with the mid-wash Sukey jean, the soft, white Camilla jumper and a trainer for when you're running around."
