Bernie Gingham Dress

Gorgeous classic summer dress. Style and sizing as described. Lovely quality.

I had been searching for a smart gingham dress for several weeks when I spotted the Bernie Gingham Dress on the Hobbs website. It was just what I wanted so I ordered it in a size 12. When it arrived it was carefully packaged in tissue paper and folded with great care. The dress itself was fabulous - beautifully made with good quality gingham fabric and also lined with cotton. The detailing on the seams of the bodice is a work of art in itself! Rather surprisingly the armholes (they showed just a bit too much of my bra) and bodice seemed just a little too big for me so I decided to order a size 10 for comparison. This arrived a few days later and after trying both sizes again, I decided to keep the size 10 and return the 12. The smaller size is much better fit on top and although it is tighter across my tummy area, it was still the better fit for me. I love the dress, it looks absolutely great on and at 5 foot 6, it is the perfect length for me falling mid shin. Just love it!
