Escaping the hustle and bustle of the city we call home, we swapped our commute into London for a trip to the Kent countryside.

Joined by author Daisy Buchanan and friends, our first ever Reading Retreat took place at the breathtaking Elmley Nature Reserve.

Surrounded by miles of stretching British landscape, this was a time to slow down and switch off; settling into 24 hours of creativity, literature and conversation.

To complement the nature of our stay, we introduced our newest collection. Rooted in earthy palettes and botanical prints, designed to be worn now and layered later.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a reading retreat without a good book. Set in a tranquil barn, the afternoon began with best-selling author Daisy Buchanan giving an overview of her most recent book, All Grown Up.

A charming read underpinned by a classic novel, Daisy opened up the discussion into all things literature. Pens were soon put to paper as we engaged in a creative writing workshop, encouraging our guests to tap into their own inspiration and writing styles.

One inspiring session later, we spent the late afternoon taking the time to unwind and relax. Set in bespoke reading tents scattered throughout the grounds of Elmley, screens were swapped for stories in cosy corners made for turning pages. Reading along to the soundtrack of swallows and wagtails, this served an idyllic setting to lean into literature.

After dark, conversations lingered over dinner. Savouring the moments that deserved an extra chapter, we shared stories and created new ones; discussing our favourite fiction and real-life moments.

As we transition into late summer, our new season collection steps forward. An edit of considered wardrobe updates, designed to be worn now and layered effortlessly later.

Grounded in earthy greens and rich chocolate, pops of pink add feminine edge. While polka dots serve a timeless design, we hero our botanical prints; blooming at this time in the season, hand-painted echinaceas blur the lines between fashion and nature.
