sorry Hobbs this dress is a disaster. Your sizing is usually an exact fit but this ? 2 sizes too big. It is shapeless unlined ..just awful

I was really pleased when I opened the package to find a beautiful dress which was such great value in the sale. However, sizing was an clearly an issue as a size 8 was absolutely enormous all over. Sadly I had to send it back and a smaller size was unavailable.

Good shape, fits well, love the black and white checks. It's a shame the right shoulder was not sewn up to standard. Maybe that's why it's marked down. One of those risks of shopping online perhaps. Loved the dress but had to return.

Zip was 4 cm longer than back opening and was not stitched in. It gave the back of the dress a very peculiar shape as the unsecured end made the dress stick out at the back. Not what I expect from Hobbs. Dress was returned.

This review is for the mint check Amalfi dress. I was delighted with the fabric and wore it the day it arrived - a great price in the sale. Just wish I had a holiday planned. The dress is beautiful and simple.

ordered two different sizes of the monochrome check Amalfi dress - it was a very heavy linen which didn't appeal so both dresses were returned. Hobbs on line ordering has been wonderful during lockdown.

Great dress. Very large in the bust. The top of the dress is about a size bigger than the rest of the dress. This could be a positive for some.

...and was hoping it would look nice, but it just wasn't me, despite having other dresses from Hobbs that are more fitted. The waist wasn't flattering and the knee length just didn't look right on me in this particular dress. It is a lovely linen fabric and as usual well made, but on this occasion it was a miss for me. It's always worth a try though, even if you're not 100% sure as I've been surprised on the odd occasion in the past when I've been in two minds about a dress from Hobbs.
