Elea Wool Dress

The Elea is a great fitting dress, The bodice is quite fitted and sits really well on the shoulders. Nice little slit detail on the sleeve . The skirt flares out a bit . Lovely and warm .

I looked at this dress for so long on the website & eventually ordered it. I am so happy with it.I don’t buy clothes very often,but when I do I try to buy nice,classic styles.Hopefully it will last a long time.

Well fitting, smart dress, attractive design. Received many compliments. Very happy with it. Took a bit longer than expected to be delivered but otherwise very pleased.

This is a gorgeous dress, beautifully made with proper turned in seams, matching plaid pattern, has pockets and is fully lined. It also is a perfect fit and is very flattering. I didn’t give it 5 stars however as the only downside for me is the short sleeves. The material is a heavy wool so suitable for very cold days but the look of the dress would be spoiled by having to wear a cardigan or a jacket with it. Also, being wool it is “dry clean only”. Still a lovely dress at a great price.

This is a beautiful dress and very striking, however despite being lined it is still itchy. This is a bit of a fatal flaw for me and I had to return it.

Sizing and fit are great. I thought it may a bit scratchy but it is fully lined and one of those dresses you put on and don't worry about it and I love dresses with pockets.

This dress is exactly as shown online. The material is good quality wool, the dress is fully lined and it fits absolutely perfectly. This is a very flattering style, I am 5'4" and on me it is just above knee length. The short sleeves do not detract from its warmth and the tartan check is very attractive. I wear it dressed up a bit with heels or alternatively with opaque cashmere tights and ankle boots, looks good either way.

Lovely material, great colour and so beautifully matched BUT although the top fit perfectly the skirt part was much too big. It might have been the design but it made me look very hippy. Very sorry to have to send it back.

This is a very beautiful dress. The color is exactly as pictured , it is true to size and very comfortable. Perfect for the winter season.

If you would have watched the famous animation movie called Ratatouille and the scene when the much feared food critic in Paris takes a first bite of the dish in front of him throwing him back to his childhood years at kitchen table with his Mom, then this dress is the one with absolutely that effect. The pockets are so amazing, such an add and the fit is perfect for even me who has gained some weight recently, still perfect fit for my size 10 although snuggly fit and not so you would run a marathon in it, color, material, love love it. Not so itchy at all although may need one to get used to it, but this is SUCH a wardrobe essential for every woman of any shape or age. I have a small boozem but if you have bigger breasts, then I advise to size up one size and yet the waste does the trick to create that super slim slender effect with or without a bit of a belly. Hobbs, thank you so much... Please bring more of this style and in other colors too.

Real pockets - no fakes here - this is what sold the dress to me as well as being very comfortable to wear and move in. This is a dress for all occasions, for work, shopping and days out. Good quality design and construction in the making of the garment too. It looks great with black tights and boots. I love the plaid and wear a camisole underneath - no problem. I love it and wear it a lot.

I was so looking forward to receiving this dress as I felt sure it would be my "dress of the season". The style, fit and colour are all perfect and the dress is beautifully finished. However, the fabric is terrible: coarse, itchy and I had to take the dress off almost immediately as it prickled my skin so badly. I had ordered it with VIP delivery: it was dispatched 2 days after ordering but then it went into a black hole. I did not receive any notification from Hermes (I still haven't) and it took 5 emails and 2 phone calls to Customer Services before my delivery could be tracked. Not VIP at all. All in all, a very disappointing experience with Hobbs.

The dress fits perfectly, but a extra inch or two would have been better. Perhaps two lenghs could be available. Also from a personal point of view when a dress has a long back zip ( especially with thicker clothes) I find it difficult to zip up. Perhaps side zips would help this problem.

Absolutely loved this dress but had to return it as it was too tight at bust but fitted great everywhere else. The next size was far too big. Such a shame it was not made proportionaly

This dress is super. It's very stylish,warm and well made. I don't find it itchy in the slightest like some other reviewers,surely the fact that it's fully lined eliminates this? Anyway,I shall be getting a lot of wear out of this dress and am delighted with it,in fact,if it came in other colours I would buy another one!!!!
