I bought this for my son's wedding later this year. Absolutely beautiful dress and superb quality. Very well made, all seams are nicely finished off. Fit is perfect and true to size. No gapping around the armpits and bust as I have found with some dresses, fits as though it was made to measure. Service from Hobbs was super fast - I expected to wait for around 5 to 7 days but this arrived in 2.

I bought this dress for a summer wedding. Arrived super quickly. Dress is beautiful - as others have said colours very slightly darker than the laptop screen projects but this is not a negative thing. I am normally a 10 but thanks to COVID am a bit bigger than usual - bought the 12 but think I might be in between sizes so have also bought the 10 to compare and will return the one that doesn’t fit as well. I could wear the 12 still but it is slightly too big across the bust. I am 5 foot 4 and was worried about the length but it falls above where my ankle is skinniest so it’s still flattering, definitely more a maxi than a midi but nice! Looks lovely with pink-nude and navy accessories. Happy that even though it is a special sort of dress it was very reasonably priced on sale so I can also bring on holiday etc. looking forward to wearing it!

When my wife tried on the garment it was far to small across the bust by about 3 inches. Rather confused as the sales label clearly stated a UK size 12. I measured the width which showed 16 inches ie 32 inches in total. On investigation the stitched in size label showed it to be a UK size 8. Extremely disappointing service and inconvenient as it required me to return the item which cost as we are shielding as was necessary to pay Royal Mail to collect the item (only 60p)

The Peony Pink Carly Dress is great. The fit of the bodice is perfect. Arm holes are exacting, no fancy underpinning required. The length is good for my 5'8"(could even have been a few inches longer). I have a lot of pieces to coordinate with the print. Looking forward to wearing this when it warms up.

Lovely dress, as other reviewers have said it was longer than expected and sits mid calf on me and I’m 5ft 6. I will get it taken up. The pictures show the whitish flowers quite light but for me they appeared grey as though it had been washed and run. This was a bit disappointing for me though no one else has mentioned this colour difference. It fit perfectly, I took a chance with my usual size 14 as I’ve put on a lot of Covid kilos, and I’m really a 16 now. But it fit!! Yay!!

Disappointed in the colour of the dress. On the website it looked a lot more red. In truth it is magenta red - not my best colour. Would have returned it if I was living in the UK but I live in Canada & paid taxes on the shipment which I won’t get back. All a learning lesson.

Loved this dress, bought for a wedding. Ordered online and it was dispatched really quickly. Size 14 was a little tight round my midriff so changed for a 16 instead. I will have to take the armholes in slightly but nevertheless, I love it and with a javket over the top, no one will notice!

I like Hobbs products very much and often bought them in Germany. However, this dress was not available in Germany.

I bought a dress & bolero cardigan, seen in store, but alas not in my size 😢 so I was already reasonably confident in my purchases - Thankfully they both fit well.
The order system was straight forward, well packed & delivered with speed & efficiency so I can't fault anything, BUT I still much prefer to shop in store... Thank you Hobbs for my beautiful dress!

Was in Edinburgh store needing two dresses for weddings this summer. Tried this gorgeous dress on with several others.

Quality of the dress is excellent, and very pretty. I sent both back purely because from the size guide, I expected the dress to be on the smaller side. As it turned out they were on the larger side! I have since ordered a size 14, but also returned this purely because my son's wedding has now been postponed until next year. I am hoping I will find something equally as nice, if not this actual dress, next year.

I love the dress . I needed a bigger size than normal hence having to return the first one and replace it. The first came in a lovely box but the second came without. The material is lovely and it looks very smart . I cant wait to wear it at the wedding in April.

I was attracted to this dress as it had all my favourite colours together. It was a little expensive compared to what I normally buy, but thought I'd order it in store as my size (5' 8" - 20) wasn't available on the stand and see how it looked. The staff were wonderful, took time with me and friendly with conversation. I returned a week later to collect and try on the dress and again, delightful staff, who helped me with trying it on. It felt and looked beautiful, light and floaty. I wasn't too sure about the sleeveless aspect of it, but I had a little jacket at home which matched perfectly, so it didn't deter me from purchasing. I will definitely visit Hobbs again, the price was well worth paying.

considering the “body positivity” movement after going to two stores and 3 concessions to be told by every one of them they don’t stock above a size 16 due to not having stock room is a bit ridiculous, a size 18 is hardly a marquee canvas an pole set, and the fact that to try a dress on above that size I had to order it, meaning I was out of pocket before I’d even decided if I wanted the dress which is the only reason I have this “purchase” I think if stores aren’t going to stock above a certain size, there should be no charge for ordering the item into store for the size needed.
