I ordered this mac in a size 8 unfortunately it was far too big. I sent it off to be returned, I was told it could take up to 14 days. Much to my surprise I received my refund within 3 working days of arrival.

Speedy delivery, well packaged snd the coat is exactly what I thought it would be. I dm between a size 14-16 and 14 fits perfectly with enough room to wear a jumper underneath on colder days.

A quality, well structured coat. Excellent value for money and yet expensive looking. Sadly I returned it because the Matt black didn’t flatter me.

Purchased this Clay Chrissie Mac in the Sale, have wanted a smart casual mac without a belt for sometime so didn't hesitate to order!! The quality is as just as you would expect from Hobbs and I loved the colour too. I was in two minds to order a size down as other reviewers recommended, but was concerned that maybe the arms would be too snug, so I stuck with my usual size and don't mind too much that it is quite roomy. Looks good on and am looking forward to wearing it very soon!!!!

The coat is beautiful. Bought a size 12 and it's roomy which good for wearing chunky knit underneath. Gave it 4 stars as it's pricy for what it is. I suggest to wait for the sales and then it's worth it.

I really liked this style coat, fabric was nice & an added bonus the coat was in black colour. I ordered 2 sizes - 16 & 14.
Size 16 arrived quite quickly but was too big on the shoulders and around the body as cut of coat is Aline. I waited to receive the size 14 but it never arrived....I contacted customer services and was told it was going to sent by courier so should arrive the following day. Guess what... nothing arrived so I contacted Hobbs again but this time said they don't have the size 14 anymore.... couldn't send it from their Bromley store or source it from the warehouse!!! I checked online and the size 14 was available to order.....how annoying.
I'm very disappointed and disgusted with this service from Hobbs on this occasion, I have ordered previously and everything has been fine.

I brought this style of coat last year in Navy at Bloomingdales in San Francisco and love the look, so I was very happy to see this coat on sale. Great style and I received the package without any problems and was pleasantly surprised it came so quickly.

This is a very nice jacket, but the back bit is really an extra part and cause trouble, if that part can be removed, it will be a great top.
I bought this jacket, however it doesnt fit, I had to refund it in Dundrum Hobbs. When I walked in, there was three staff members and one customer. I walked to the counter straight away, there were two of them standing very close to the counter without name badges, so I wasnt very sure if they are working there cause we all wearing masks these days.
I dont if it was because I was wearing something too casual, so they both walked away, I thought they were customers maybe (but found out they are staff eventually),after few minutes standning at the counter, one lady finally came to me and asked are you ok? so I told her that I bought the jacket online, but it doesnt fit, so looking for refund. she had a look of the jacket and asked me where doesnt fit which I think its bit ridiculous, so I have to explain to her its the back bit, because of the A shape design of the jacket, so when I put on, the back bit is kind of opened up, then her colleague came and she explained to her why I want to refund, they both were looking at the back of the jacket, eventually decided to refund to me.
The lady who came to me first, seems like new to the shop and she were not well trained with refund procedure, her colleague just told her to click, and click and walked away, so she couldnt manage to proceed the refund, she asked for the second colleague to help, the third lady came with unpleasant face and showed her impatiently.
To be honest with you, all my working clothes are from Hobbs, I like all your clothes, I normally shopping in Arnotts Hobbs or Kildare, the ladies are all very nice and friendly. I was really shocked this time by the way was treated. We all needs business at the moment or especially at the moment, so I hope you can pass my feedback to the store manager and spend bit time to look at your customer care training.

Beautiful coat. As with other reviews this comes up big so size down. Gutted as I bought the larger size with a good discount and ended up paying more re ordering the smaller size.

I've been looking for a mac like this for a while...mid thigh, black, without a belt, in the right material. Trickier than you might think - traditional trench coats are generally too long on me (I'm 5 foot 4 inches), coming down to the knee, which never seems to work well with my proportions. There's also been a tendency for macs like this to use a bonded-shower-proof coating, which can make the coat too rigid. So, full marks to Hobbs for designing a mac which meets all of my (very picky!) criteria, and is classic & smart. Can't wait for the Spring weather to arrive so that I can put it into action.
